Thirty years ago, a fellowship of legendary adventurers saved their world by slaying the demonic tyrant Mol Uhltep—The Last God.
Following his downfall, the realm entered a new age of peace and prosperity. But a generation later, when the leader of the original fellowship dies, their children and successors learn their terrible lie:
The Last God still lives.
A new generation of heroes must unearth the secrets that their parents kept, and set out to finish what was started thirty years before. And this time, they must not fail.
THE LAST GOD will be a 12 issue series making it the largest Black Label series yet!
This is a terrifying horror story told in a stunning epic-fantasy world. Set in two different generations, it follows a mighty fellowship of heroes that travels beyond the borders of creation to kill a god, and the next generation, who learn their predecessors aren’t the heroes the world believes them to be.
This series features mind-blowing, terrifying art by Riccardo Federici, colorist Dean White, and letterer Tom Napolitano, three absolute geniuses in their fields, and epic world-building so deep and rich that it exists beyond the bounds of the page.
Fans of D&D, Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings and Magic: The Gathering, and anyone who enjoys deep-dives into fantasy lore: you will be extremely well-served with The Last God. Stay tuned!

Imagine if aliens came to Earth not in war or peace, but with a business deal: open up a spaceport here on Earth in exchange for advanced technology. But when our alien visitors break Port restrictions and wreak havoc in our cities, it falls to the newly formed Earth Security Agents to hunt down and safely deport the dangerous rogue aliens back to the Port of Earth. A gritty sci-fi action thriller from new comic book writer ZACK KAPLAN (ECLIPSE) and ANDREA MUTTI (Rebels, Star Wars, Batman Eternal, Prometheus).
Skybound Entertainment is developing the sci-fi property Port of Earth — based on the namesake comic book series launched in 2017 by creator Zack Kaplan, Top Cow Productions and Image Comics — for television with Amazon Studios.
Written by Kaplan with art by Andrea Mutti (Rebels, Batman Eternal), the gritty sci-fi series Port of Earth tells the story of an alien alliance called The Consortium that has come to Earth with a business proposition: open Earth as a spaceport for our customers to use and receive advanced technology upgrades in exchange.
When rogue aliens break the Port restrictions and wreak havoc in different cities, however, the terms of the deal begin to change. Soon it is up to the Earth Security Agents to send them back to the Port of Earth. With The Consortium representing thousands of alien planets the series delves into political issues of exploitation, occupation, espionage, duplicity, technology and leverage, all in a gritty sci-fi setting.
Kaplan, along with Top Cow principals Marc Silvestri & Matt Hawkins, will executive produce alongside Skybound Entertainment. This is the third of Kaplan’s comic book series to be optioned in the past two years, following Eclipse, which is also in development at Skybound, and Lost City Explorer, which was set up at Universal Television with Aftershock Comics producing.
Kaplan is repped by Heroes & Villains Entertainment and attorney Peter Sample of Jackoway Austen Tyerman. Top Cow is repped by Circle of Confusion and attorney Harris Miller.
